Yesterday, I had my post op visit. that was with the surgical assistant. I really wanted some questions answered about my psoas tendon and muscle. The progress has been great. I spent 2 days with a very weak numbed right leg. there was a brace to wear on that leg.. Also, I was expected to not weight and flat foot. The surprise is that I was zooming around on the walker 5 days later. There was definitely narcotics prescribed. Well the assistant looked at the surgical notes. The doctor saw psoas muscle attached to the capsule. I am not sure want that really means. But, some how the psoas muscle kept working when the tendon was bad. There may have been very little muscle wasting.

Next week I start physical therapy. There are some exercises I started 5 days post-op. Before surgery I had become physical therapy noncompliant. There were too many times I was assigned PT. I was unable to make good progress.

Next week I will be seeing OB/GYN for pelvic floor stimulation. After my 2011 dog accident I experienced a lot of abdominal pain. I saw Primary, OB/GYN, orthopedic back, GI and other Doctors. I saw a OB/GYN specialist who referred me to a specialist D.O. 125 mile from home. The diagnosis was psoas muscle issues. That D.O. got me to feeling better. Then he had me start PT. Things went bad in a hurry. The physical therapy had undone the D.O. manipulations. So I quit and started again at home.

There is a time before my 2012 MRI on the hips, that I did some pelvic floor stimulation. It helped but did not solve my problems. In July2019 I circled back to the OB/GYN clinic that I used before. At that time I was definitely get reports of psoas tendonitis. Hoping to be able to get a psoas tendon release I delayed this. So after a long 2 years I will be doing the pelvic floor stimulation to relax the psoas and physical therapy to strengthen it, YUCK Hopefully it will work this time.

Twelve days post op

Right now I feel that this will be a more successful surgery. I took my pain killers and meds. There was a walker I used. My right leg...
